Our story starts back in the late 80s, when the founders of A Renewed Hope, Paula & James Myers served at Daily Bread Ministries ( the slab) in Fort Worth. After some time they had moved to Oregon and attended a local church, Living Hope and there they met Rich and his wife Marlys. In 2004 they moved back to the Dallas area and Paula started to serve in a ministry going into night clubs and witnessing to the women there, washing their feet, and began to be a strong advocate against sex trafficking. In 2011 one of the ladies in the ministry, received a house in Fort Worth near where they served at Daily Bread Ministries and wanted to open it for women who were victims of sex trafficking. One day she spoke to Paula and said she would have to sell it to pay off back tax that’s now due before she loses the property. A few months earlier God revealed to Paula that she would have a house to help women to walk in freedom, a Freedom house! After taking this opportunity to prayer the very next day Paula & James's dear friends Rich from Oregon called them. He said God laid it on his heart that he needed to come to Texas and see them for something and he didn’t know why. So Rich drove from Oregon to Texas to see the Myers. Then Paula told Rich all about the wonderful opportunity they have been in prayer over and he jumped up and said that is what God sent me here for, let’s go look at the house. He then gave the Myers a check and said go buy it! A Renewed Hope was born and God receives all the glory. Since then the Hope House as been completely refurbished, and God is transforming lives of women. Thank you for taking the time to read our renewed story Paula & James Myers
